Nagano

Block Leader Profile: Sharleen Cruz

Hello~ I'm Sharleen, of Nagano City! This will be my fourth year on JET, and I'm really looking forward to pile-driving you into submission. I mean-! I'm really looking forward to another year in this wonderful prefecture and block. Yoroshiku!
P.S. If you're into video games, come nerd out with me! Round 1 in Nagano City is a sweet, sweet haven for those into all things video games.

Block Leader Profile: Sam Buchanan

Howdy Y’all! My name is Sam Buchanan and this is my second year on JET. I was born and raised in the Colorado Rockies so I feel right at home in Takayama-mura. My hobbies are outdoor sports, playing music, and gardening. I’ve got a full band set up at my house, but not enough arms. If you wanna make some noise, hit me up! During winter, I ski or snowshoe almost every weekend and always enjoy company. Once summer rolls around, I like to beat the heat on a mountain top or go swimming. As block leader, I hope to organize nature excursions as well as trips to museums, temples, and other cultural goldmines. I am also the AJET President and I would love help from anyone interested in coordinating Nagano events. よろしくお願いします!

Block Leader Profile: Helen

Helen came to Japan with the 2010 JETs. As a prefectural JET, she works with high school students in a small city in northern Nagano. She has been a Block Leader since May 2011, and is looking forward to hosting group dinners and organizing outings all around the ken for this year's ALTs. As the owner of a sweet Wagon R, she might be willing to help you move stuff around. Like all of the Nagano Block Leaders, she can be reached via the naganobl3 at gmail dot com address.
